Congratulations to the First California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) Internship Receipents!
The CIRM funded internship will provide students with the necessary expertise to enter the workforce in a rapidly expanding and technologically advanced field.
CIRM was established in 2005 with the passage of the California Stem Cell Research and Cures Act. The mission of CIRM is to support and advance stem cell research and regenerative medicine under the highest ethical and medical standards for the discovery and development of cures, therapies, diagnostics and research technologies to relieve human suffering from chronic disease and injury.
The internship is apart of the new Emphasis in Stem Cell Technology and Laboratory Management within the MS Biotechnology and Bioinformatics degree program. The new emphasis offers comprehensive lecture and laboratory courses designed to train students in stem cell research.
